This is the Version 2 universal driveshaft set with aluminium driveshafts for the Cyclone series of cars. It will fit the Cyclone, Cyclone S, Hara Edition Cyclone, Surikarn Edition Cyclone and World Champion Edition Cyclone.

The aluminium Version 2 driveshafts have a thicker driveshaft and larger diameter balls than the Version 1 driveshafts. These changes improve durability and drivetrain efficiency, meaning less rebuilds and parts costs for racers!

To accomodate the larger end balls, the inner diameter of the outdrives have been made larger as well.

To help differentiate the Version 2 driveshafts an identifying groove has been machined into the centre of the driveshafts.A groove is also machined in the Version 2 outdrives for the POM diff outdrives (#), one-way outdrives (#HB61397), and the ends of the spool outdrives (#HB61334, blue; #HB61335, purple; and #82806).

Version 1 (non-grooved) driveshafts will fit Version 1 and Version 2 outdrives, however there will be extra play between the ends of the driveshafts and the inner diameter of the outdrives, so care must be taken to watch wear at these points.

This universal shaft set will not fit the Version 1 solid axle set (spool) #HB61405 or the Version 1 one-way outdrives (#HB70713).
